About

Since 2010, Cedar Lake has been Michael Coe's professional home. Michael is a clinical and research psychologist with more than 20 years of experience in science writing, social and educational research, organizational consulting, program and project evaluation, and psychological and educational assessment. He served as Director of Research in the Center for Research, Evaluation, and Assessment at Education Northwest from 2003 to 2010. Before that, as a Senior Statistician in the University of California, San Diego, School of Medicine, he helped faculty members and students with research design, statistical analysis, and the interpretation and presentation of data. Michael has extensive experience conducting research and evaluation studies for projects funded by the National Science Foundation, the U.S. Department of Agriculture, the U.S. Department of Education, various state and local agencies, and private organizations including the Mott Foundation, the Noyce Foundation, the Lazar Foundation, the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, and the William T. Grant Foundation. He has served as an expert consultant to the US Environmental Protection Agency on the evaluation of public partnership programs for environmental results.

Through collaboration with university faculty and staff members, government agencies, non-governmental organizations, and other consultants, each project is pursued as a team effort. Scientists, content experts, and program evaluation specialists work together to integrate strong research and evaluation methods in proposals and projects. Ongoing feedback and insight from participants and experts helps guide project development, while independent, objective third-party evaluation studies document your efforts and the outcomes and impact you achieve. Expert technical writing and editing insures that your project or program and your research and evaluation findings are depicted clearly and accurately, in language suitable for researchers, program developers, reviewers, and the general public.
